What is Deduplication?

Deduplication is the technique for eliminating duplicate copies of repeating data. The intelligent system continuously searches for duplicate files, eliminates them and creates links to the single copy left in the system. In this process, the data are subject to detailed verification. Identification is so accurate that the system is able to verify even the minor differences between the duplicate records, such as typos. Duplicate data is grouped in three categories: the same, similar, or different. This technique is used to improve storage utilization.
